About the role

Permanent full time opportunity.

  • Provide high level leadership and strategic direction in the management of complex allied health, multi-disciplinary services and assigned portfolios within Redcliffe Hospital.
  • Provide effective high-level advocacy and authoritative advice for local facility and allied health issues and provide advice to the Executive Director – Redcliffe Hospital, Executive Director - Allied Health, Metro North Chief Executive Officer and other Metro North Executive members, as well as networks and state-wide bodies (e.g. AHPOQ).
  • Provide managerial direction to achieve the effective and efficient management of allied health services and assigned portfolios within Redcliffe Hospital, in line with relevant agency-based, state and national directions and professional standards, with due consideration of financial accountability parameters.
  • Provide strategic leadership, focus, professional direction, clinical governance, support and advocacy for staff within the “Health Practitioner” and “Clinical Assistant” streams working at Redcliffe Hospital.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Advocate for and influence Facility, HHS and QH policy and be accountable for the effects of all policy generated from within the position's jurisdiction and associated professional counsel to relevant stakeholders.
  • Promote a learning culture through active supervision, performance assessment and development practices through all departments, including continuing professional development.
  • Represent Allied Health and Redcliffe Hospital in HHS and State-wide forums, committees, boards and other relevant groups.
