The Nursing Services at the Proserpine Hospital is seeking applications for a Nurse Unit Manager (Emergency, Theatre and Specialist Outpatient Department) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

The Nurse Unit Manager is an employee who is a registered nurse who:

• Is appointed to an advanced practice nursing position; and
• Demonstrates a specialised skills in Rural Nursing with a specific focus on Emergency Department (ED) including Medical Imaging, Speciality Outpatients Department (SOPD) and all components of Theatre (Day Surgery, CSSD, Operating Room (OR), Endoscope).

About the Team

The Whitsunday Health Service is made up of two facilities, The Community Health Campus – Cannonvale and the Hospital Campus – Proserpine. The hospital is a 35 bed acute hospital which offers a number of specialty inpatient and outpatient services. The Community Health Campus offers a range of community health services provided by a multi-disciplinary team. The Whitsunday Heath Service covers the Whitsunday Regional Shire, Midge Point and Bloomsbury.
