About you:

In your new role you will

• Demonstrate high level knowledge, expertise and clinical skills, therapeutic interventions, assessment and care planning for people with complex mental health needs, including first episode psychosis.
• Demonstrate ability to apply complex evidence based clinical standards/principles within a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate knowledge of, or an ability to acquire knowledge of policies, procedures and regulations which impact upon the position and knowledge of contemporary Human Resource Management issues such as Workplace Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity and Anti-Discrimination.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will be responsible for delivering high level clinical and professional leadership, as well as quality intensive clinical services that facilitate the recovery and rehabilitation of people with mental illness/psychiatric disability, and to support consumers to take ownership and develop personal strategies that allow them to rebuild their capacity and achieve greater belonging within their community.

About your role:

• Using a biopsychosocial model conduct mental health assessments and assist consumers and families/ supports who are experiencing their first episode of psychosis to develop a comprehensive individual recovery plan and facilitate the effective delivery, monitoring and evaluation of this plan.
• Provide high level input into the development of evidence-based clinical policy and practice, service development, quality improvement activities, research and evaluation projects and the utilisation of mental health information systems related to service delivery, performance and outcome measurements.
• Monitor the professional standards and outcomes produced by staff and/or the work unit's activities that may lead to the identification and implementation of service improvement initiatives.
