Payroll Project Officer

About the position

We're in search of a Payroll Project Officer to assist with the implementation of our new TechnologyOne payroll system during our transition from Micropay. This role also entails providing coverage for a two-month leave period for our Senior Payroll Officer, making prior experience essential.

Full time, fixed term contract position until January 2025 based in our Coolbinia Head Office

As a Payroll Project Officer, you will:

  • Assist the payroll team with the implementation of our new TechnologyOne payroll system to meet the Go-Live date
  • Cover for the Senior Payroll Officer during a 2 month leave period and ensure payroll is run in a timely and effective manner
  • Assist employees by checking and processing their commencement, cessation and extension of contract advices.
  • Determine, authorise and process salaries, wages and allowances for employees ensuring compliance with Awards, Agreements and contracts.
  • Create and maintain personnel and payroll records for all employees.

About You

What we’ll need to help kick-start your journey with us:

  • Previous payroll processing and personnel systems experience (preferably 4-5 years minimum in a similar sized organisation)
  • Experience with TechnologyOne (necessary)
  • Experience in administering a computerized payroll, which includes full time, part time, casual and shift workers (Disability Sector experience desirable)
  • Experience in implementing systems and the ability to identify problems and develop solutions with a focus on business improvement.
  • Well-developed communication (written, verbal and listening) and interpersonal skills to develop effective relationships, consult with key stakeholders, and provide effective advice and expertise with regards to project methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to define, prioritise and organise competing tasks to meet deadlines and take a methodical and analytical approach to complex problems often having multiple stakeholders.
  • National Police Clearance no older than 6 months, Current Driver’s Licence, NDIS Workers Orientation Module, NDIS Worker Screening check and COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
