Locum CT Radiographer

Job Description

We are searching for a highly motivated and experienced Locum CT Radiographer to work with us. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in reducing waiting lists for CT Scans within the Radiology department.


Available shift patterns: Nights / Long days / Days / Weekends

Hours: 37.5 per week


As an Locum CT Radiographer, you will:


  • Performing a diverse range of CT examinations, ensuring optimal patient positioning and image quality.
  • Operating and maintaining advanced CT equipment, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their comfort throughout the scanning process.
  • Maintaining detailed patient records and documentation, adhering to departmental and legal requirements.
  • Contributing to the efficient workflow of the CT department, ensuring timely scan turnaround and patient satisfaction.
  • Participating in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in CT technology and clinical practices.


Essential:

  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Radiographer
  • At least six months recent NHS experience
  • Must have Right to work in the UK / No sponsorship required
  • At Least two years’ experience working in a CT scanning environment, demonstrating competence in a variety of examination protocols
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality images.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining CT equipment, including image acquisition and post-processing software
