Royal Hobart HospitalUnder the broad direction of the relevant Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), take a lead role in the development and promotion of efficient and effective provision of high quality, accountable and measurable healthcare based on best practice clinical principles to foster a learning and research culture in the clinical environment.The role:The surgical component of the Short Stay Suite incorporates Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA), Holding Bay, Same Day Discharge (SDD) and a 19 bed Surgical Ward.Under the broad direction of the relevant Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), take a lead role in the development and promotion of efficient and effective provision of high quality, accountable and measurable healthcare based on best practice clinical principles to foster a learning and research culture in the clinical environment.The Clinical Nurse Consultant - Clinical Practice and Standards:Provides advanced clinical leadership, direction, and change management to facilitate the progression of strategic objectives for the Short Stay Suite through the development and implementation of associated standards of practice, models of care, relevant service policies, procedures, and guidelines.Provides advanced clinical expertise and leadership in patient safety and quality initiatives/activities and programs across the Short Stay Suite and offer specialist advice, information, and consultation to staff to meet statutory, policy and regulatory requirements related to safety and quality including the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Royal Hobart HospitalPermanant, full time day worker positionFast paced, dynamic and supportive team environmentSelf-directed roleDetails of AppointmentPermanent full time, day worker position working 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*Notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicantApplicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.Salary: $111,506- $ 118,336 per annum.
