The Executive Support Officer has responsibility for providing comprehensive high level executive / secretarial and administrative support to the Executive Director, Corporate Enterprise Solutions and to act as the point of contact for the flow of information and work requests to and from the Office of the Executive Director, Corporate Enterprise Solutions.

About Corporate Enterprise Solutions:

This exciting job opportunity falls under the Corporate Enterprise Solutions branch within the Department of Health and provides solutions and services that support Queensland Health's enterprise corporate applications while also supporting the payroll transactional processes. This application suite includes the largest integrated rostering and payroll solution in the public sector and the finance, business and logistics solution and management environment. 

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in the provision of high-level executive support services and supporting the administrative function of a senior executive or senior executive group, including the ability to effectively and flexibly set priorities, meet deadlines, work effectively under pressure and manage variable workloads.
  • Experience in providing business support services such as coordinating administrative, financial and human resource activities and documentation.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, particularly tact, discretion, sensitivity and confidentiality including the ability to communicate with influence to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and handle sensitive situations with diplomacy and confidentiality.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks within agreed priorities, timeframes and accountabilities.
  • High level administration and information management skills in particular the ability to effectively use a range of software and email products including Microsoft office and the ability to initiate system and procedural enhancements and improvements.
  • Proven high level analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to self-motivate, show initiative whilst working autonomously while also being able to demonstrate the ability to work as a team member in a client focused working environment.
