Pharmacy Services Assistant/Dispenser

About the role:

Joining us as either a Pharmacy Services Assistant or Dispensing Technician, you’ll be joining an enthusiastic and hardworking team of colleagues that work together to make a positive difference to the lives of their patients. From working the counter to assisting in the dispensary and keeping the branch ready for customers, there is a wide range of duties for you to be involved in, such as:
Delivering exceptional customer service, providing health advice and services to our patients through engaging conversations. Ensuring that every customer leaves the pharmacy feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs
Keeping the shop floor fully stocked and ready for customers through accepting and working deliveries and completing stock takes
Delivering the technical aspects of the dispensary, allowing and ensuring the safe supply of medicines. This could be through ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, and supporting the collection of prescriptions
Assisting with sales and general store duties including creating product displays and cash transactions
About You
It isn’t just about experience or knowledge; we’re looking for people with a genuine passion for customer service and who will be ambassadors for healthcare in our pharmacies. To be successful in joining our team, you’ll need to show us:
A natural ability to build meaningful relationships with both patients and colleagues
An upbeat, caring, and confident manner when serving and advising patients
An enthusiasm and talent for problem solving, eager to take on new challenges and experiences
A methodical and accurate approach to practical tasks, using your own initiative and teamwork skills to aid you
Experience of working in a retail background and using a stock control system would be desirable but not essential as full training is provided
For this role we are looking for someone who already has their Level 2 qualification or higher.
