HSE ADVISOR

WorkPac are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor DIDO for our client located at Baralaba mine. This position is for a 3 month duration and will hold a 7:7 roster working day shift only.

Key responsibilities:

Facilitate and develop risk assessments in alignment with the projectâs schedule of works

Develop, schedule and champion a project specific SHET Monitoring Program directly informed by completed, activity specific risk assessments

Facilitate and report on incident investigation

Monitor the effectiveness of the application of the Safety and Health, Environment and Training Management Plans on site and provide advice to the SHET Superintendent on possible improvement initiatives

Notify, classify, and record in the incident database all incidents that occur on the project such that a complete and accurate incident record exists

Conduct audits, inspections, and observations to demonstrate visible safety leadership and sound audit practice

Monitor and report on the implementation of project HSE and Training management plans and the HSET Activity Planner (including identified corrective actions) to the SHET Superintendent as required

Maintain all project SHET registers such that they are accurate and up to date

Contribute to SHET risk-based content within planned project communication forums

Assess compliance with site access requirements and facilitate inductions technical input into investigation reports and lead significant investigations where required

Develop content, provide input, and where required deliver SHET information (including inductions), in accordance with the requirements of the sustainability systems

Contribute to broader Golding SHET improvement programs

Skills and Experience required

Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate risk assessments associated with mining work

Training and assessing small groups/induction

OSH Qualification or relevant experience

Current Standard 11

Current Coal Board Medical

2 years mine site experience
