About the Role

Greenslopes Private Hospital currently has opportunities for Medical Officers to join our existing pool of doctors to provide clinical care of patients and assist in the provision of an efficient, safe and professional medical service to all patients in the Hospital in liaison with Specialists/Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs).

The Advanced Trainee will provide care in the Renal department for both inpatients and day patients at Greenslopes Private Hospital presenting with a range of diseases affecting the renal system including Glomerular diseases, Acute/Chronic renal failure, vascular disease of the Kidney, Renal/bladder calculi, Pre renal disease and Post transplant care.

Working closely with the VMOs and Junior Medical Officers rotating into the department, duties include attending acute and elective admissions during normal working hours, review of inpatients, outpatient clinics and leading consultant ward rounds.

This is a great opportunity to utilise your clinical assessment and diagnostic skills within a supportive Hospital environment with a great team of people. The successful candidates will be employed by the hospital.

About You

  • Demonstrated strong clinical skillset with the ability to manage a broad spectrum of patients across our facility including medical, surgical & rehabilitation patients.
  • You will also have exceptional communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The flexibility to handle a rotating roster with on call components along with weekend and evening shifts are also required.

You will also bring:

  • Current General Registration with AHPRA
  • Current clinical experience in the Australian Healthcare System
  • Current registered trainee with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians
  • Demonstrated skills and clinical knowledge to manage a broad spectrum of presentations including medical, surgical and rehabilitation patients
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Willing to participate in an after-hours roster
