East Grampians Health Service is based in Ararat and Willaura (Regional Victoria) and takes its name from the magnificent mountain range that provides a backdrop to both townships. he medical Imaging department is located at the main site in Ararat. It supports EGHS clinical service by offering services in CT, Ultrasound, OPG and General Radiology and Theatre Imaging to both acute patients and the community. In practice, you will work in a team including Radiographers and Sonographers supporting our 24/7 on call roster across weekdays and weekends with support from our excellent administration staff. EGHS also provides services to our local Medical Practitioners and the Department of Justice Corrections Centre at Ararat.

About this opportunity
  • The Radiology team provides services from Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
  • As member of this skilled and professional team you will be encouraged and supported to participate in continuous professional development programs to further consolidate your skills
  • The service uses Comrad and InTeleviewer software.
  • Produce high quality diagnostic images that are reasonably achievable given the patient condition and in accordance with the ALARA principles
  • Demonstrate extensive or special knowledge, experience and competence in the required Radiology specialist modalities.
About You
  • Post graduate qualification or Degree in Medical Ultrasound
  • Current ASAR registration – or able to obtain
  • Initiative in workload management and ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated high level experience and skills in diagnostic imaging

Appointment is subject to immunisation clearance (Including COVID-19) and current and satisfactory Employment Checks (Police and Working With Children Checks)
