We encourage individuals of allbackgrounds to apply.The Australasian Gastro-Intestinal Trials Group (AGITG) was established in1991 and is a recognised leader for conducting high-quality local andmultinational research across the clinical trial paradigm in collaborationwith strategic partners, including in Australia, New Zealand, UnitedKingdom, Europe, Asia and North America.GI cancers affect the oesophagus, stomach, liver, gall bladder,pancreas, bowel, rectum and anus. Collectively these cancers are the mostcommon form of cancer in Australia, affecting over 34,291 Australians eachyear and claiming a devastating 38 lives each day. AGITG research has ledto improvements in both the life expectancy and quality of life of peoplediagnosed with GI cancer.It is a fantastic time to join the team as a Clinical ProjectCoordinator and be involved in the Clinical Research Centre (CRC) – anewly established service where end-to-end functionality for centralcoordination is made available to their members leading multidisciplinary,investigator-led research.Working closely with the Clinical Program Manager, you will providehigh-quality trial operations and project support, facilitating the setup,coordination, monitoring and close-out of the associated clinicaltrials.You will be the gatekeeper in the timely delivery of tasks with a highdegree of accuracy, supporting the trial development process, developingand coordinating the start-up and feasibility activities whilst supportingthe development of grant applications and producing the relevant industrysubmissions.Ideally, we are looking for you to bring:2-3 years of clinical trial project management experience from eitheran academic setting or CRO/Pharma and working on Investigator Ledresearch;Experience in study start-up processes and grant applicationsWorking knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines and best practices related tothe conduct of Phase I to IV clinical trials.Ability to hit the ground running with advanced problem-handling skillsand confidence in managing relationships with complex stakeholders;Strong team player with excellent time management and organizationalskills.Adaptability and the ability to manage competing priorities and work ina fast-paced environment.You will be joining a well-respected and highly collaborative team, wherethey bring in-depth experience, viewpoints, and communication with eachother to build the best culture for the organisation.
