hire Healthcare are recruiting for a registered Play Therapist to work within a specialist CYP residential service working from home and visiting sites in Hertfordshire and North London.


About the employer:

This employer provides therapeutic children’s homes for children and young people who are looked after. They also provide therapeutic support to organisations to help the development of their trauma informed practice.


Role snapshot:

The candidate appointed will be joining a new service working with a small group of children’s homes in Bedford, Hertfordshire and North London. The post holder will be providing therapeutic support to develop trauma informed practice. The essence of the role will be working with external organizations, including schools and educational settings, offering consultations, reflective practice, direct therapeutic input, assessments, and training.


The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help develop this therapy service contributing to the wider company’s centre of excellence in the field of developmental trauma and attachment.


Contract type – permanent

Hours – 3 – 5 days per week can be considered

Salary - £30,000 - £45,000 FTE


Experience required:

Due to the infancy of this new service, those applying will have experience of working with young people with complex presentations eg a CAMHS, LAC or YOS. Experience is required in therapeutic models such as DBT, CFT, DDP and/or mentalisation based therapy. PTUK and PSA registration is mandatory.
