About the role

This position provides support to the Finance Business Manager and Senior Business Advisor in the provision of business support and advice to the Divisions within West Moreton Health.  The key focus of the role is to provide support within the areas of business administration and management accounting. The Senior Finance Officer will also have a strong focus on the support of Cost Centre Managers.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

• The ability to assist in the management of business functions within a Division, including financial, activity and human resource, to enable the Division to meet objectives.
• The ability to source and analyse data and report accurate and timely information for monthly performance reporting and on an ad hoc basis.
• The ability to provide accurate and timely advice on the application of relevant legislation, regulations, policy and procedures to line managers.
• The ability to assist in the preparation and ongoing maintenance of budgets.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work as an effective member of a team

Mandatory Requirements:

• Though not mandatory, completion of tertiary studies in accounting, business or commerce and membership of a related professional body would be highly desirable.
