Generous remuneration package value up to $132,730 p.a.comprising:

  • Salary range of $76,747 to $116,332 p.a. (HP3)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

About the role

  • Assist in the development and facilitation of education to individual and group patients and other relevant persons on psychological or behavioural issues that impact on their health.
  • Apply professional judgement to a caseload, adapting routine clinical practice as required, in accordance with evidence-based professional and ethical standards.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively within the team, with stakeholders and with clients of the service, using high level communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills and experience

  • Knowledge, experience and skill in the provision of evidence based psychological assessments and interventions.
  • Knowledge of, or the ability to acquire knowledge of, the management of persistent pain.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, with ability to consult and liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and work under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to apply established practice and ethical standards to the provision of psychology assessment and intervention services.

Role requirements

  • Applicants must possess a four year degree in Psychology (Honours, Graduate Diploma) from an accredited tertiary institution.
  • Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a class “C” motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided before commencement of duty.
