Clinical Deputy Manager, Dementia Specialist Care Provider

£50,000 Salary, plus benefits


We are recruiting for a Deputy Manager position for a care home, focused on delivering Alzheimers/Dementia care in a different way. They use advanced technology, including intelligent acoustic monitoring, alerting you if a resident falls over or is asleep, to reduce disturbances and increase happiness. All documentation is linked digitally, so you enter information once and the medication delivery, care plans and general audit paperwork are completed for you.


This role is with an exceptional team, who run a series of other care homes, all specialising in Alzheimers/Dementia. Their leadership is recognised across the UK, with awards for outstanding care. Their care is focused on allowing the service users to have more freedom, retain their individuality, with the aim of reducing the speed at which the disease develops. This is NOT your typical care home! This is a step towards the Netherlands or South of France based dementia village type settings.


Job Description:

  • Provide clinical leadership and support to our team of dedicated caregivers
  • Oversee the delivery of person-centered care to residents with dementia
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in dementia care
  • Support the Manager in day-to-day operations and decision-making


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management and supervision of staff, ensuring high standards of care
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor residents' well-being
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in dementia care
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace

Requirements:

  • Registered nurse
  • Highly motivated to help provide dementia care in a new way
  • Managerial or leadership experience is preferred but not a necessity
