About the Role:

This job requires the individual to understand the workflows of a pathology laboratory and how our Laboratory Information System (LIS) interacts with the blood sciences activities of the laboratory. The role will entail helping to support pathology laboratory staff using our LIS software, providing training on the operation of our software, and investigating and analysing the activities of the laboratory staff to make recommendations to our developers on how we can make our products more effective.

Primary role and responsibilities

•Implementation and configuration of our Ultra pathology software and associated applications into hospital and pathology labs.
•Understanding the customer’s current and future lab environment, workflow, and technical requirements.
•Advising and assisting on the best practice of implementation and usage of Cirdan’s products and configuration, to facilitate the workflow in world class laboratory environments.
•To be fully aware with the functionality of the pathology product of your discipline.
•Keep up to date with regulatory changes and ensure these requirements are communicated effectively to our software development teams
•To be knowledgeable with the core functionality of pathology products.
•Assist project managers with the software implementation; that will include working with customer LIS and IT representatives.
•Provide application presentations for Client Implementations on site or off-site as applicable.
•Support the verification and validation teams ensuring the customer requirements and needs are met by the development team
•Provide clinical guidance and expertise to other team members, and internal project teams
•Participate as a Clinical Representative on Risk Management Project Team
•Comprehend the customers’ requirements as specified in the project plans and the design document presented at the sales stage.
•Work with laboratory personnel and software developers to ensure a common understanding of the needs of the laboratory and capabilities of the software.
•Contribute to the development of the software product.
•Make recommendations based on customer feedback regarding software changes and enhancements.
•Deliver relevant courses for key users of pathology, as required.
•Represent the company at various conferences and user meetings.
•To attend team meetings and agreed training courses.
•Contribute to training, and supporting other Clinical team members and build their knowledge base

About you:
Essential knowledge/skills:

•5+ years of practical experience of working in a pathology laboratory.
•5+ years of knowledge of LIS software
•Knowledge of laboratory health and safety
•Ability to understand and capture user requirements.
•Appreciation of current changes in Pathology laboratory practice
•In-depth and expert knowledge in Transfusion Medicine
