The Facility: This is a Tertiary and level 3 Teaching Hospital with just under 400 beds and around 1,700 staff. The hospital services a population of 200,000 in a catchment area including urban communities, regional hospitals and remote Aboriginal communities. The hospital is affiliated with Flinders University with an onsite Medical School.
The Role: Our client is seeking interest from suitably qualified (FRACS Neurosurgery) applicants for a Head of Department / Staff Specialist – Neurosurgeon vacancy. The Hospital provides most specialist medical services for the region or state. The Northern Teritory Neurosurgical Unit is a state-wide tertiary centre receiving elective and emergency neurosurgery patients.
The Head of Department role will be 0.5 FTE.
There is also the opportunity for 0.5 FTE Staff specialist opportunity.
The Requirements: To apply for this role you should either hold the FRACS in Neurosurgery or have an equivalent qualification that has been assessed by the RACS as substantially comparable.
