The Position
An exciting opportunity awaits a Staff Specialist Anaesthetist in our Anaesthetics Department. As the main referral hospital for the region, we provide care for a diverse range of medical challenges. The role involves providing leadership, management, training, supervision, and education for Senior Medical Practitioners, Interns, Resident Medical Officers, and Registrars, in collaboration with the Regional Director of Medical Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Specialist Care: Deliver high-quality anaesthetic services to patients within your clinical privileges.
• Leadership: Provide leadership and management within the Anaesthetics Department.
• Training and Education: Train, supervise, and educate medical staff, including Senior Medical Practitioners, Interns, Resident Medical Officers, and Registrars.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Regional Director of Medical Services to ensure excellence in patient care and staff development.

Pay
Total remuneration package of up to $476,000 depending on experience

The Requirements:

• To apply you must hold the FANZCA or postgraduate qualifications and experience in anaesthetics which meet ANZCA requirements for practising in this position.
• For overseas applicants as a minimum you should have already had your training assessed by ANZCA and been found to be substantially comparable.
• New Zealand FRANZCA will be considered
