Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Emergency to join their team. This role presents a unique opportunity to provide professional leadership in clinical and service improvement activities, while advocating for patient-focused care. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive skill set, including clinical expertise, a deep understanding of clinical governance, quality and safety principles, strategic planning, operational management, and financial acumen. Demonstrating exceptional teamwork skills and effective communication in clinical practice, the Director will set the standard for excellence. Additionally, they will be responsible for overseeing staff across multiple streams, including the education and supervision of trainees, students, and staff.
The Location
Situated in an idyllic part of the Queensland coast, the hospital enjoys over 300 days of sunshine each year, offering an abundance of outdoor activities. The Facility
Our hospital, boasting 305 beds, serves as the primary referral center for Central Queensland. We offer a comprehensive range of services, including Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Cancer Services, Cardiology, Renal, Palliative Care, Mental Health, Rehabilitation, Geriatric Medicine, Oral Health, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, ENT, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Intensive Care, and Anaesthesia. We also provide a range of clinical services on a visiting basis from tertiary hospitals in Queensland. Accredited for ACEM, ACRRM, and RACGP specialist training, our Cancer Care Unit offers state-of-the-art equipment and services to local patients.
