About you:

In your new role you will…

  • Demonstrate ability to lead change through quality and service improvement activities to the enhance physiotherapy service.
  • Demonstrate high level communication skills and technology skills, including ability to provide high level clinical advice and advocacy to professional and operational supervisors regarding service and clinical improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively and effectively at a high-level providing support and leadership within the multi professional team.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will deliver high level cardiac physiotherapy clinical services using and professional leadership, including day to day management of cardiac rehabilitation, cardiac physiotherapy inpatients and community services, outpatient cardiac clinics, clinical education and clinical practice supervision of relevant staff /students with a high degree of independence and initiative, to develop services and promote and maintain best practice care to patients within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.

About your role:

  • Deliver high level acute cardiac and cardiac rehabilitation physiotherapy clinical and consultancy services, requiring infrequent direct clinical practice supervision. Recognised expertise, knowledge and skills are obtained through significant professional development activities, post-graduate education or formal qualification(s).
  • Utilise evidence-based practice and independent professional judgement for a complex cardiac caseload to facilitate novel physiotherapy and multi-professional clinical decisions.
  • Provide clinical practice and professional supervision, including a role in competency training and skill development to less experienced physiotherapists, allied health assistants, nursing and support staff within the area of cardiac rehabilitation & cardiac physiotherapy, or those involved in undergraduate or observational clinical placements, or work experience students.
