Established in 2016 Gold Coast Private Hospital is a 339 bed, 22 operating theatre facility located in Southport, the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct. Specialities include and are not limited to: 24/7 Emergency Care Centre, Medical, Orthopaedic, Bariatric, Neurosurgical, Plastics, ENT & General Surgical, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology. Position Responsibilities:

As Nurse Unit Manager of our Emergency Department you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the team as well as supporting the strategic direction, operational processes, and business direction of the hospital.

You will provide day to day management of ED to ensure efficient and effective team outcomes and coordinate the delivery of emergency nursing care, supporting and developing junior staff and working in collaboration with clinical nurses.

In addition, you will build relationship with VMO’s and work collaboratively to deliver superior care for their patients.

Selection Criteria:

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of patient care.

• Provide strong leadership and support to nursing staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize departmental performance, including resource management, staff development, and quality improvement initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate seamless transitions across the continuum of care.

• Bachelor of Science (Nursing)/ Nursing/ or equivalent
