The Position
A permanent part time vacancy is available for a Psychiatrist to joinamultidisciplinary team in providing exceptional mental health care to patients.
As a Psychiatrist, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment alongside other health careprofessionals to deliver comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans tailored to meet the individual needs of each patient. All patients admitted to this facility are voluntary admitted patients. Salary sacrifice options available.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations of patients to determine the nature and severity of mental health conditions.
  • Develop personalisedtreatment plans in collaboration with patients, their families, and other health careprofessionals, incorporating evidence-based practices
  • This is a lucrative role, allowing you to work other days, providing Telehealth services on the days of your choosing. (Which is better than locum hospital rates without the commute)
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to review patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and ensure coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medication management documentation, in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in the field of psychiatry through ongoing professional development, attending conferences, and engaging in continuing education opportunities.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice, maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting autonomy and informed consent.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Specialist AHPRA Registration
  • Psychiatrists that are under a Moratorium can bill under AON
  • Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
  • Strong diagnostic and assessment skills, with the ability to formulate comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care with a focus on recovery and empowerment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced health careenvironment.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional growth and development in the field of Psychiatry.
