The Facility

The Role
This Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Staff Specialist Medical Oncologist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert diagnosis, treatment, and comprehensive care for outpatients in the public hospital, focusing on the subspecialty of medical oncology.
As a Staff Specialist Medical Oncologist, your primary duties will include:
  • Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of patients referred to the oncology department.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, utilizing the latest medical advancements and therapies.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
  • Participating in clinical trials and research initiatives to contribute to the advancement of oncology practices.
  • Offering support and education to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and providing guidance throughout the treatment process.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest oncology research and innovations.

The Requirements:
  • Registered with AHPRA and have at least 12 months recent experience in Endocrinology
  • On RACP training program
  • Hold the FRACP
  • IMG's eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ
  • IMG's with RACP interview date
  • IMG's assessed by RACP and found to be substantially comparable
