Torbay Lifestyles & Care is looking for a full-time
Clinical Nurse Specialist
based in
Hervey Bay, QLD .
Join our team as a pivotal clinical leader, reporting to the Director of Care, and responsible for the day-to-day management of clinical operations.
As our new Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide leadership, advice, coordination, planning, review, and assessment of all aspects of clinical delivery to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents and staff, while also facilitating ongoing education and training to personal care worker, enrolled and registered nurses.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Overseeing clinical care delivery to meet resident needs and legislative requirements
Supervising and supporting clinical staff to ensure high-quality care provision
Conducting assessments, care planning, and documentation
Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and relevant legislation
Leading incident investigations and addressing staff performance issues
Participating in recruitment and staff development initiatives
In addition to your core responsibilities, this role will also include on-call responsibilities, providing support and guidance after hours, on weekends, and during public holidays on a rostered basis.
About YouTo qualify, you will need a
Bachelor of Nursing Degree
with
current, unrestricted AHPRA registration . A minimum of
2-3 years of experience in a clinical leadership role
is essential, with experience in Aged Care being highly desirable. You will also need to hold a current and valid Police Check or have the ability to obtain one.
Additionally, the following will be highly valued:
Demonstrated understanding of assessment and care planning
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Well-developed people management skills
Strong time management and organisational skills
Certificate in Training and Assessment
