The role 

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Performance, Monitoring and Analysis (FPMA), your role will be part of the Financial Budget, Assessment and Performance (FBAP) Unit. The purpose of the roles is to deliver corporate financial management reporting to executive management and other key stakeholders as required by Director, Analysis. You will support the strategic direction of the Finance Branch contributing an effective, efficient, coordinated approach to Finance Branch deliverables.  In this position, you will need to demonstrate expertise in financial reporting frameworks and monthly variance analysis for financial results. Additionally, you will provide technical support and guidance to various stakeholders within Queensland Health and central agencies in relation to financial analysis and management.

The successful person

You will have demonstrated:

  • Leadership and Management

Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership within a service delivery organisation involving multi-disciplinary programs and diverse work units.

  • Technical Capability

High-level knowledge of financial management legislation relevant to Queensland Health and experience in implementing integrated reporting arrangements to ensure that Queensland Health discharges its responsibilities.

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Highly developed communication and interpersonal competence, including resilience and  the capacity to negotiate, resolve conflict and positively influence and motivate others in a significant environment of reform and change.

  • Problem Solving

Expert issue identification, analytical and research skills, problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to develop innovative, sensitive and practical solutions and provide expert advice to complex issues.
