Digital Metro North (DMN) works collaboratively with Metro North Health (MNH) clinical leads and end users to deliver the digital transformation strategy for Metro North Health. It will ultimately create an integrated digital hospital and healthcare environment across Metro North.  In meeting this strategy significant capital works are being undertaken over the next five years that includes hospital construction/refurbishment and the implementation of ieMR Advanced solution across Metro North. Delivering this will require a dedicated team, with the capacity to work across initiatives and domains, with the knowledge, determination, skills and experience to deliver.

Together with the requirements of the role description, our ideal candidate will have the ability to

• Lead and manage the successful delivery of a range of digital projects and activities required to support the implementation of the Capacity Expansion Program at Metro North Health sites, ensuring desired outcomes are achieved and robust solutions are delivered that meet time, cost and customer quality expectations.
• Drive high quality digital project delivery within DMN by leading, managing and directing multi-disciplinary project capability under a matrix resourcing model of shared specialist resources including external specialist vendors.
• Provide expert advice into the design, planning and delivery projects to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with Queensland Health and Metro North Health policies, frameworks, strategies and architecture.

Key knowledge and experience

The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Five or more years experience in leading a team/s in the in the delivery of complex digital or ICT initiatives to large, complex organisations preferably in the health care sector and in a capital infrastructure delivery environment.
• Proven expertise in project management and coordination including use of appropriate communication, governance and performance reporting techniques and tools which contribute to the overall achievement of digital design and delivery activities within and across facilities.
• Demonstrated leadership capability including proven experience in leading, managing, coaching and mentoring an effective multi-disciplinary digital project team/s.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain project and program deliverables and services in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others to cultivate productive working relationships with proven excellent negotiation, consultation, facilitation skills at all levels in a complex digital project delivery environment.
