The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Work Experience and Traineeship Coordinator to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Conduct regular site visits to meet with the line managers and students to maintain relationships and support participants of work experience or traineeship programs
  • Support internal and external stakeholder relationship management who are involved in coordinating the work experience or traineeship
  • Educate and support line managers in relation to the participant and any placement requirements
  • Escalate any concerns in relation to the line manager and participant relationship with the Manager, Workforce Strategy and Culture
  • Effectively coordinate and lead recruitment and onboarding activities in line with organisational requirements

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded
  • Previous experience in project management, student/traineeship support and/or similar role will be well regarded
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Temporary full time (up to 12 months, with possibility of extension)
  • Base salary ranging from $102 492 - $111 516 per annum
