Salary: £25,000 - £35,000

Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior SHEQ Advisor to join our team. The Junior SHEQ Advisor will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation and maintenance of safety, health, environment, and quality standards across our projects. This position involves close collaboration with senior SHEQ professionals and project teams to ensure full compliance with regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting comprehensive risk assessments and audits both on-site and within the office environment.
  • Support the development and delivery of SHEQ training programmes for employees.
  • Participate in the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes and recommending effective corrective actions.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant SHEQ legislation, standards, and procedures.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of SHEQ policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and site supervisors to integrate SHEQ requirements into project plans effectively.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of safety, health, environment, and quality regulations and best practices.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Desired Attributes:

  • Previous internship or work experience in SHEQ or a related field is advantageous.
  • Industry certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are beneficial.
  • Enthusiastic about learning and developing within the SHEQ discipline.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
