Position Summary

Are you looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Mental Health department.

Works with mentally ill adults to assist them to stay in their own homes and out of institutions. Teaches life skills, monitors use of medication and provides transportation for medical and other appointments. Ensures compliance with Subsidized Housing Regulations for those individuals in Subsidized Housing.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Tuesday to Saturday, Days, 08:30 to 16:30

Fort St. James is Located on the southeast shore of Stuart Lake is the district of Fort St. James. The town has been restored as a national historic site and has a total population of approximately 4,500. The main industries in Fort St. James are forestry, mining, and tourism. The town is also a scenic gateway to a 300 km network of lakes and rivers. Fort St. James is well serviced, has affordable housing and is close to big city amenities. Qualifications

• Grade 12.
• Social Services Diploma.
• Introduction to the Community Mental Health Certificate.
• Two years recent related experience.
• Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s License.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Knowledge of adult leaning techniques.
