An exciting opportunity exists for a you to contribute to the provision of a high standard of oral health care to all eligible clients of the Oral Health Service for the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service through the delivery of oral health therapy services working within a multidisciplinary team. Oral Health services are provided to patient groups that meet the eligibility criteria for accessing public dental services in Queensland. Adult based clinics are located at Caloundra, Kawana, Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Nambour, Noosa and Gympie.  A two surgery mobile facility provides additional adult services at Maleny and Gympie.

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver quality oral health therapy services and oral health promotion to eligible clients in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards under the current Legislative Acts and Code of Practice in accordance with registration requirements of the Dental Board of Australia.
  • Strive to meet oral health targets within relevant time frames whilst maintaining quality clinical outcomes and utilising resources to full capacity and designated purpose.
  • Provide routine professional advice and information, liaising effectively with clients, their families and external stakeholders and provide clear direction to the dental assistant, support staff and oral health therapy students (where required).

Remuneration value up to $128,706 p.a., comprising salary between $74,747 - $112,805 p.a. (f/t) or Remuneration value up to $10,725 p.m., comprising salary between $2941.70 - $4323.80 p.f. (f/t) or salary rates: $38.70 - $56.89 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP3) (Various positions avalible).
