The Impact You’ll Make

Recursion is at the forefront of reimagining drug discovery through the integration of automated cell biology, high-dimensional and diverse data sets, and sophisticated analytics. We are seeking a Director of Product Management to join the team building the Recursion OS. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Management, you will help define and execute on the strategy for the development of the world’s leading tech-enabled drug discovery platform. In particular, you will be responsible for leading the team of product managers building our industrialized workflows that allow us to do drug discovery at scale. You will work closely with a cross-functional team including engineers, data scientists, biologists, chemists, and more to continuously push forward the frontier of industrialized drug discovery. 

  • Lead a team of product managers to industrialize increasingly more aspects of the drug discovery pipeline 
  • Establish a year+ vision and roadmap for how we will evolve our industrialized workflows, including the identification of new product opportunities
  • Partner with the Sr. Director of Product Management to build a robust product culture
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Recursion to drive outcomes towards Recursion’s mission to decode biology

This position is based at either our Canadian headquarters in Toronto or our US headquarters in Salt Lake City.

The Team You’ll Join 

Reporting to the Senior Director, Product you will join the team that is building the RecursionOS and will be heading up the team of product managers building our industrialized workflows! This team is responsible for building the tools, workflows, and patterns that allows Recursion to discover new drugs at scale. The team is leveraging high-dimensional data, advanced machine learning algorithms, and automation to deliver medicines to patients who are waiting! 

The Experience You’ll Need

  • 7+ years of experience with product management, including strategy, planning, prioritizing, building, implementation, and gathering feedback
  • 3+ years of people management with experience in leading and building high performing teams
  • Demonstrated success in delivering novel and complex solutions, bonus if in a scientific context
  • A track record of systems thinking and the ability to connect back to the big picture.
  • Creative problem solving skills with a focus on driving outcomes over outputs
  • Experience translating between experts in engineering, biology, chemistry and data science to identify business needs and find solutions
  • A Lifelong learner with a creative, collaborative and flexible approach.

At Recursion, we believe that every employee should be compensated fairly. Based on the skill and level of experience required for this role, the estimated current annual base range for this role is:

  • Developing: $198,000
  • Expert: $242,000
