You would be working within a well-supported, diverse multidisciplinary team to provide developmentally appropriate treatment with children, young people, and their families.Our Aim:The Child and Youth Mental Health Service in Tasmania is growing! We are seeking passionate and dedicated Clinical Leads to provide clinical services to children, young people and their families/significant others experiencing mental health concerns. The positions available are within our new teams which are currently being developed as initiatives under the CAMHS reform program (Youth, Youth Forensic, Out of Home Care).The Clinical Lead will have a passion for providing a person-centred approach and working within a multidisciplinary team environment, providing high level clinical leadership to the team.Leadership training is available and provided by the Tasmanian Health Service in partnership with University of Tasmania.The role will include:Being part of a dynamic and well supported team committed to delivering high quality mental health services to children, young people, and their families/carers.Undertaking clinical services through the provision of complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programsWorking alongside innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop new child and youth mental health services in Tasmania.Leading and working with an amazing and diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as requiredNote: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.One position is available in the North.NorthBased in Launceston CBD.The North of the state is an area of natural beauty where you will have easy access to the Cataract George, waterfalls, bush walks, beautiful beaches, and excellent mountain biking tracks.Launceston is a great place to raise children with access to some of Tasmania’s prestigious schools.It is truly a beautiful part of Kanamaluka/Lutruwita.An attractive relocation package and support for international visa requirements may be available for successful applicants.One permanent full time day workerposition working 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*Notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicantApplicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.Salary: $111,506 - $118,336per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification typeProfessional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annumRelocation Assistance and visa support available for the right applicantSalary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possess specialist tertiary graduate or post graduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification; or completed, prior to the transfer of nurse education to the tertiary sector, an accredited hospital based program that lead to registration as a psychiatric nurse by the relevant nurse regulatory authority within Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the United Kingdom.Current Working with Children RegistrationApplicants should note the following criteria are desirable:A minimum of 3 years current post graduate experience in child, adolescent and/or youth mental health or relevant fieldTraining in relevant and appropriate evidence-based therapeutic interventions that are developmentally appropriate such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Therapy or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)Current Driver’s License.The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
