About us:

Rockhampton Hospital provides training for Medical Students participating in University of Queensland – Central Queensland Rural Clinical School and has links, with the Central Queensland University for Nursing and Health Studies. The Rockhampton Hospital is a 305-bed facility and is the main referral hospital for Central Queensland, now providing integrated cancer care services in Central Queensland in the newly established building boasting state of the art medical equipment.

About the role:

The Clinical Nurse performs at an advanced level and supports the delivery of competent, best practice, quality nursing care. You will provide leadership in clinical decision making to give and/or coordinate care to recipients of healthcare services. As a Clinical Nurse, you will apply critical thinking across all domains and assume responsibility for professional leadership for a ward, service, or unit in the absence of the Grade 7.

  • Demonstrate competence in the provision of nursing care as specified by registration requirements, Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) Standards and codes, educational preparation, relevant legislation, and context of care.

About you:

Mandatory qualification/s: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

(SAGE) Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, post graduate qualifications or the equivalent in Aged Care, Continence, Cognition, Dementia and Wound Care Management would be highly desirable.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $131,900 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
