About you: 

You are an Administration professional confident to maintain, prepare, and manage daily clinic lists, sourcing and scheduling appointments with the required timeframes indicated in a timely manner with clinicians' specifications and the CHHHS Administration Procedure Manual. This also includes chart prep in advance for clinics in Paediatrics and off-site locations, VMO clinics, billing forms as required, checking for expired referrals to follow up with clients, provide interpreters as required, send reminder SMS to clients for appointments.

Your opportunity: 

To provide high quality and effective administrative support and customer service to health professionals and patients in a multi-disciplinary environment.  The administration role is integral in the organisation and management of appropriate information systems which includes data entry and management, client referrals and appointments, clinics, and general administrative duties.

Your role: 

  • Maintain the Hospital Based Corporate Information Systems (HBCIS) patient information system, ieMR and ESM (electronic digital records), Medi records for bulk billing Medicare, Microsoft office suite of programs including Outlook email, CHAI, PRODA and the use of internet as per policy and Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain and support Hospital in the Home, Nurse Navigation, and Complex Care with Paediatric nursing clinicians.
  • Identify own source revenue (OSP) opportunities and complete all relevant paperwork to ensure recovery of funds for ineligible clients prior to sending to revenue.
  • Conduct chart audits of revenue services and daily competition of Medicare reconciliation of all billing within Medi records billing program.
  • Completion of patient medical information, correctly labelled and made available for collection via the Medical Records Scanning Unit.
