Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient screening and oral health assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting patient medical and dentalhistory
• Take dental impressions
• Take X-rays
• Perform preventative dental proceduresincludingteeth cleaning, scaling, gum stimulation and fluoride and sealant applications
• Provide oral care instructions includingoral hygiene procedures, strategies to maintain and improve oral health
• Consult with dentists on patient dental care
• Perform orthodontic procedures under the direction of dentists
• Follow up all safety protocols and infection control guidelines

Certificationrequirement:

• Valid registrationwith the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario

Educationrequirement:

• Completion of college dental hygiene program

Qualification Requirement:

• Proven experience of minimum2yearsas a dental hygienist
• Proficient indental hygienist techniques and procedures
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
• Proficient inAbeldent, CDR Dicom, Invisalign, Microsoft Office
• In depthknowledge of dental care services including teeth cleaning, whitening, braces, Invisalign,wisdom teeth extraction and dental implants
• Proven capability to perform duties in a fast paced working environment
• Work well with a team, individually and under pressure
• Extremely detail oriented with a strong client service focus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
• Experienceusing iTero for scanning is a plus
• Knowledge of orthodontics is a must
• Flexibleto work at weekends

Salary: $42.00 per hour
