(GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.You willDemonstrate advanced-level clinical knowledge, expertise and skills in contemporary practicesEnsure safe and effective management of consumer flow practices across the Inpatient UnitsProvide coaching, mentoring and education regarding discharge planningNegotiate and facilitate transfers to other Inpatient UnitsProduce various reports associated with discharge planningAbout youTo be successful in this position you will require:Bachelor of Nursing or equivalentRegistration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of AustraliaEvidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis BTuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be requiredDeclaration of serious discipline history must be disclosedCriminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)Base salary ranging from $132 562 - $143 924 per annumAbout UsThe General Medical Ward at Gold Coast University Hospital provides a tertiary level of care to a broad range of patients with chronic and acute medical conditions. Many patients admitted to the ward are over the age of 65 and a quarter are from residential aged care facilities (RACF's).
