Health, Safety Manager As a Health, Safety & HACCP Manager for luxury trains, your primary responsibility is to ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and hygiene are maintained throughout all operations related to the luxury train service.

Description
Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures explicitly tailored to the unique environment of luxury trains. This includes risk assessments, emergency response plans, and incident reporting protocols.
Conduct regular training sessions for all staff members, including train crew, hospitality staff, and maintenance personnel, to ensure they are well-versed in safety protocols and procedures.
Implement Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles to identify, evaluate, and control food safety and hygiene hazards onboard the trains.
Oversee sanitation and hygiene practices across all train areas, including food preparation areas, dining cars, sleeping compartments, and public spaces. This involves regular inspections and audits to maintain cleanliness standards.
Being up to date with relevant health, safety, and food safety regulations and ensure full regulatory compliance with all applicable laws and standards set by regulatory bodies.
Develop protocols for responding to health and safety incidents , including medical emergencies, and illness outbreaks. Coordinate with relevant authorities and emergency services as necessary.
Risk assessment and management ; identify potential hazards and assess risks associated with train operations, facilities, and services, and implement effective risk mitigation strategies
Review and evaluate safety performance metrics and incident reports regularly to identify areas for continuous improvement . Implement corrective actions and enhancements to elevate safety standards continuously.
Vendor management : work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure all products and services meet safety and quality standards. This includes conducting supplier audits and inspections.
Crisis Management : develop contingency plans and protocols for handling natural disasters, security threats, or significant service disruptions.
Profile
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field is required.
Advanced certifications in safety management or related disciplines are preferred (HACCP certification, OHS certification, Certified Safety Professional - CSP).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in health, safety, and/or HACCP management roles, preferably in the transportation or railway sector.
In-depth knowledge of relevant health, safety, and food safety regulations and standards, including those specific to the transportation, railway, and hospitality sectors.
Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate safety procedures to train staff members, train station hub and stakeholders.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and respond effectively to unexpected situations or emergencies.
