Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist - Indigenous Health (Kidney Medicine)

Inala Indigenous Health, Health Equity Access Unit are looking for a Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist to join their team. This role’s primary responsibility is to contribute clinically to the organisation, management, and provision of a comprehensive kidney service at the Inala Indigenous Health Service, providing specialist care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and offering professional clinical advice to GP staff while actively participating in multidisciplinary patient care teams.

About the Role

  • Liaise and work effectively in a professional manner with clients and their carers and family, other health professionals from different disciplines, students and external agencies to achieve a client centred approach, utilising negotiation and conflict resolution skills as required.
  • Foster a culture of interprofessional collaboration and leadership through understanding the role and the roles of others in the interprofessional team leveraging this knowledge to establish and meet client goals and inform service direction.
  • To provide high quality care to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients attending the Inala Indigenous Heath Service.
  • Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
