About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our crucial support team as an Activity and Lifestyle Coordinator at Raelene Boyle Retirement Villagein Aberfeldie VIC, Australia. This is a maximum term position working in our high/low care unit commencing mid July and finishing March 2025. The shifts available are as follows,

  • Monday 0930 - 1630
  • Friday 1330 - 1730
  • Saturday 1330 - 1730
  • Sunday 1000 - 1600

We love when our lifestyle coordinators use their creative flair to make a tangible difference in the lives of our residents. This is a diverse role, and no two days are the same! You will:

  • Plan, schedule, facilitate and run activities within our village
  • Ensure our activities calendar meets requirements around physical, mental and social activities
  • Curate and develop flyers / communications around monthly events
  • Promote happiness, wellbeing, and quality of life for all residents 
  • Work closely with the broader activities team to ensure our events calendar runs smoothly
  • Run our resident bingo - it sure is a fan favourite
  • Assist in the delivery of various workshops, social and craft activities. Anything from bake offs, fashion shows and even floristry demonstrations
  • Accompany residents on various outings

About You

To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have: 

  • Strong empathy
  • A creative flair you're not afraid to let shine
  • Certificate III/IV in Leisure & Lifestyle is desired (but not essential for the right candidate)
  • We'd also love you to have experience working in Aged care but that's not essential. 
  • Work in a facility that operates more like a family business. We are well resourced and have great care ratios
