EXPERIENCED PAEDIATRIC PERIOPERATIVE NURSES AND TRANSITION TOPAEDIATRIC PERIOPERATIVE NURSING

This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent FullTime, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term PartTime appointments with the possibility of extension and/orpermanency.

We are currently looking to appointexperienced and dedicated individuals to the role of ClinicalNurse within the T heatre andPerioperative team.

As anintegral part of a multidisciplinary team, the Clinical Nurseprovides clinical and professional expertise within Theatres toensure comprehensive evidence-based nursing care is delivered topatients. The Clinical Nurse facilitates and promotes patientsafety and quality of care. They support the provision ofservice within their speciality area, ensuring complianceagainst standards of practice.

Previousexperience in General Surgery and/or an ENT environment ishighly regarded. Paediatricexperience is not essential althoughdesirable , we value yourskills, knowledge, and recent experience in Perioperativesettings.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with AHPRA withminimum of five (5) years ofrecent Perioperative experience.
  • Awillingness to learn and embrace the unique challenges andrewards of paediatric nursing.

About the Department/Service/Directorate: TheOperating Theatres Complex at Perth Children's Hospital provides asafe and technologically advanced environment for surgery. Here'swhat you can expect:

  • MultipleTheatres:  Our 12 operating theatres are equippedfor both elective (planned) and emergency surgeries, as well asspecialised procedures.
  • Seamless Care: The Operating Theatre Complex and PACU aredirectly connected to other critical care units, PaediatricCritical Care (PCC), and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit(NICU), as well as the Surgical Admissions ward and SurgicalShort Stay Unit.

  • How have you applied yourunderstanding of the Continuous Quality Improvement processin your previous nursing roles? Can you provide an exampleof a specific quality improvement initiative you wereinvolved in, including the steps you took to identify areasfor improvement? (Essential Criteria 7)
