We are seeking an experienced Advocacy Lead to join our team on the Queensland CTP Direct Claims Program. This critical role involves managing relationships with healthcare providers, ensuring efficient claims management processes, and driving initiatives to enhance the program’s effectiveness. As part of the leadership team you will display the behaviours to promote a high performing team environment, providing oversight and management of operational/strategic activities in line with divisional objectives.

In this role you will be responsible for providing strategic insight to assist in the development of appropriate strategies to drive an increase in direct claims in Queensland by drawing on your network of healthcare professionals and an understanding of industry best practice. Additionally, this role will require travel to hospitals and allied health providers across Queensland, a focus on relationship management, and a human-centred design approach in creating a gold-standard rehab proposition for CTP Direct Claimants.

You will also be accountable for providing a high level of technical support to ensure consistency, drive proactive claims management strategies and to assist in the development of injury management staff; to overall create a “high performing team” environment.

What you’ll do (not limited to):

  • Foster strong relationships with healthcare providers, including doctors, hospitals, and rehabilitation providers
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve the awareness of the CTP claims management process among medical professionals. Identify ways to improve reach, raise awareness and strengthen bonds between healthcare and insurance to improve outcomes for claimants
  • Communicate effectively with doctors and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless claims lodgment and handling
  • Regularly visit hospitals and healthcare facilities to build relationships, understand pain points, and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Set up and manage the ‘Rapidcare: Road to Recovery Program’ to facilitate smother transition for claimants from hospitals to at-home rehabilitation.

What you will bring:

  • Degree in an Allied health related discipline is mandatory
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in an Injury Management role
  • Minimum 3 years clinical experience and
  • Experience leading a team of people
  • Ability to engage external stakeholders
  • Prior experience in project and relationship management, preferably within healthcare industry is desirable.
