What You Will Be Doing
The Clinical Educator – Mental Health (Enrolled Nursing Program) is an integral member of the education and clinical leadership teams. The clinical educator demonstrates flexibility in supporting all levels of staff across the organisation; with particular focus on education to mitigate risk, advancing clinical practice and developing staff along the novice to expert continuum. The clinical educator works competently within their scope of practice delivering and facilitating education in compliance with evidence-based practice as well as hospital policy and guidelines. This position will participate in the planning, development, coordination, implementation, delivery and evaluation of education services for Peninsula Health.
This role is a 12 - 24 month contract to support newly appointed Enrolled nurses that have completed their diploma and/or transitioning into the Mental Health Services.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:• Qualified Nurse who is registered or enrolled with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia• Current and extensive experience working within Mental Health Nursing.• Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willing to attain• Prior experience in teaching or supporting learners.• Qualifications in education, leadership, research or relevant clinical area (desirable)
