About the Role

The Nurse Practitioner Alcohol and Other Drugs is a registered nurse who has completed the Masters in Nursing Practice (Nurse Practitioner) therefore has acquired the expert knowledge base, complex decision-making skills and clinical competencies for expanded clinical practice. The role includes assessment and management of clients using nursing knowledge and skills and may include, but is not limited to, the direct referral of patients to other health care professionals, prescribing medications, and ordering diagnostic investigations

Part time role can be considered.

• Endorsed Nurse Practitioner (NP) registered with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Registered Mental Health Nurse
• Significant experience in the alcohol and other drugs field is desirable.
