Exercise Physiologist - 3 days /week - Adamstown, Maitland, Tuggerah

The Exercise Physiologist is responsible for the design, delivery, evaluation and adaptation of a safe and effective exercise interventions, that can improve the clients physical and emotional wellbeing. Location - Adamstown, Maitland, Tuggerah

The Exercise Physiologist will be working with the Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI) of Uniting, Recovery division, is a community outreach service assisting adults with mental health issues to maintain successful accommodation, as well as assisting them to participate in their communities.

  • Part time 3 days per week in - Adamstown, Maitland, Tuggerah
  • Join a team for community mental health
  • $36 - $39 + Super per hour plus Generous Salary packaging benefits

Role Overview:

Some of the duties of the Exercise Physiologist are:

  • Develop, organise, and supervise individual and /or group exercise programs
  • Facilitate exercise programs to enhance wellbeing and aid in the reduction of mental health concerns in consumers using evidence based exercise and lifestyle interventions

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor level qualification in Human Movement, Exercise Science, or equivalent 
  • Accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
  • Current Australian Drivers License
  • At least 2 years experience including working with clients with a severe and persistent mental illness
