Radiology Supervisor - (FT)

Under the direction of the Department Director and Radiologists, directs and coordinates the services of Radiology. Works closely with Radiologists, medical staff, Director of Radiology, Radiology personnel, patients, public, and other hospital personnel.

Job Specific:

  • Assists in schedules and maintains appropriate staffing levels in Radiology. (EF)
  • Assists Department Director in Performance evaluations of staff in Radiology. (EF)
  • Participates in budget and fiscal controls. (EF)
  • Measures and maintains quality control in area. (EF)
  • Responsible for maintaining Radiologists transcription workflow. (EF)
  • Anticipates long term needs for Radiology services. 
  • Communicates effectively inter- and intra-departmental relationships.
  • Provides educational opportunities for staff.
  • Attends seminars and related workshops to keep abreast of developments in techniques and procedures in the field of Radiology.
  • Participates in safety management and infection control program.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

  • Adheres to organization-wide and other applicable policies and procedures.
  • Day-to-day performance complies with the hospital’s Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations.
  • Performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital’s Ethics, Compliance and Confidentiality Program guidelines.

Required: Graduate of a program of Radiology Technology.

EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • Minimum of one-year supervisory experience in Radiology. 
  • Must be thoroughly knowledgeable with the general theories and practices of radiologic procedures.

Preferred: Proficiency in more than one discipline of radiography.

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  • Current license from ARRT – The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Current license from TMB – The Texas Medical Board. 
  • Current BLS from AHA – The American Heart Association.
