Job Description

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced MSK Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team based at our client's site in Somerset. This is a part-time role with 30 hours per week (no weekends!).


Salary: £40,000 to £45,000

Experience Required: Minimum 5 years of UK experience

The successful individual will contribute to the delivery of an exceptional occupational health service to our client, making a lasting difference to the everyday lives of employees onsite. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified individual to expand their skills and experience in a supportive and dynamic team environment, within a varied and exciting role. The role may also involve mentoring students from universities throughout the year, as opportunities arise.


What you'll be doing:


- Providing accurate clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.

- Classifying presenting clinical musculoskeletal disorders into work-relatedness categories.

- Providing reports to Management following assessment and at the time of discharge indicating the employee’s fitness to work and any adjustments to their role that may be required short-term, long-term, or permanently.

- Leading onsite exercise classes to rehabilitate employees with musculoskeletal injuries.

- Communicating effectively with the wider occupational health team.

- Conducting DSE assessments and providing prophylactic advice.

- Providing recommendations to customers regarding changes/equipment required following a DSE assessment.

- Identifying hazards within the workplace and assessing the risk of the identified hazards causing or aggravating an individual’s musculoskeletal ill health.

- Conducting ergonomic risk assessments with Safety Health & Environment advisors onsite to identify risks to employees within a specified area.

- Providing the wider OH team with information regarding any work practice or working environment changes that are required on a short or long-term basis.

- Effectively rehabilitating staff with musculoskeletal disorders, whether they are work-related or not.

- Completing comprehensive assessment and treatment records.

- Collecting statistical information for report generation and contributing to/run health promotion events.

- Completing comprehensive assessments.

- Conducting workstation and workplace assessments.

- DSE Assessments.

- Delivering workshops.

- Health promotion.

- Report writing.

- Knowledge of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions/injuries and treatment.

- Risk assessments.

- Ability to work remotely.

- IT skills.

- Patient confidentiality.

- Understanding of General Data Protection Regulation Law.

- Working in a multidisciplinary team.


Education & Qualifications:


- Bachelors Degree in Physiotherapy.

- HCPC registered and Masters Degree.
