We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to take on the exciting role of Senior Charge Nurse to lead the nursing team on ward 4A.
Ward 4A is our busy ENT/ Short Stay Unit for elective and downstream flow beds for Surgical.
We are looking for a motivated and organised individual who has excellent communication and leadership skills to meet the needs of this busy environment. The successful candidate must have a desire for continual service improvement and be adaptable to be able to meet the demands of the service and the requirements of the team.
Engagement with patients, relatives and the staff team is a vital part of the Senior Charge Nurse role, leading by example and promoting a professional, supportive, compassionate and caring environment.
The successful candidate will be required to create a culture of continuous improvement where the patient is at the heart of the care we deliver.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
