About the role

• Provide clinical leadership and speciality perinatal psychiatry consultation liaison, including telehealth consultations and to contribute to the overall development and quality of an integrated and recovery orientated Mental Health Service.
• The current scope of this role consists of two integrated components and will work closely with the multidisciplinary team:
  • e- PIMH telepsychiatry services, QCPIMH coordinates specialist perinatal and infant mental health clinicians to work together with local service providers via telehealth, to build capacity to respond in an effective and timely way to meet the specific mental health needs of expectant parents and families with infants and young children. This role will provide specialised perinatal psychiatry consultation and coordination for this program.
  • Day Stay Plus Program (DSPP) is a specialised integrated and collaborative service incorporating perinatal and infant mental health services, Child Health and Ellen Barron Family Centre Services. The aim of the DSPP is to strengthen the parent-infant relationship and enhance parenting capacity by increasing knowledge and confidence in parenting abilities. The role will provide specialised perinatal psychiatry input, including telehealth consultations to selected families as part of the DSPP.
