About us:

Central Queensland Mental Heatlh Alcohol and Other Drugs Service provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Gladstone, Biloela, Moura, Woorabinda and Central Highlands districts and adult patients of the Central West Hospital and Health Service.

About the role:

The Mental Health Clinician delivers high quality evidence based clinical services in the therapeutic treatment of children and young people (and their family or carer networks) experiencing mental health issues and as a member of a multidisciplinary team. This includes crisis intervention, case management and therapeutic counselling.

The position works closely with community partners including schools, child safety, non-government organisations and other service providers in the care of young people experiencing mental health issues. 

  • Deliver clinical services including assessment, therapeutic counselling, and interventions within a multidisciplinary team in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards and applying clinical protocols including documentation.

About you:

Mandatory qualification/s: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencement of clinical duties.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $128.706 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A hourly rate between $42.40 - $56.89 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
